Catch a Great Show in Myrtle Beach at the Alabama Theatre
There are so many amazing places to see a live show in Myrtle Beach, but Alabama Theatre has been a favorite since it opened its doors way back in 1993.
Founded by the country superstars Alabama, the theater brings touring and national acts to the Grand Strand, focusing on country acts, with plenty of variety sprinkled in.
In 2013, locals and visitors to Myrtle Beach will fill the theater to see country legend Merle Haggard, comedy pioneer Bill Cosby and the iconic Loretta Lynn, as well as Clint Black, Englebert Humperdinck, The Oak Ridge Boys and the Charlie Daniels Band.
There’s also plenty of fun, including performances by Beatles and Elvis tribute acts.
But visitors also love seeing the house shows at Alabama Theatre, most famously One The New Show, a variety show that harkens back to vaudeville days, but with all the glitz you expect from a Myrtle Beach show. Expect singing, dancing, comedy and musical numbers inspired by some of your favorite acts. But don’t expect the show to stay the same—One is constantly evolving and being updated. That’s why so many visitors come back to see the show year after year.
The Alabama Theatre is located at Barefoot Landing, a Grand Strand attraction of its own! Tucked against the scenic Intracoastal Waterway in North Myrtle Beach, Barefoot Landing is a great place to shop, and it’s also a favorite for dining. It’s home to dozens of restaurants, including Fire Island Grille, Joe’s Crab Shack and River City Café. So when you head north to check out Alabama Theatre, make a night of it!
