Myrtle Beach is gearing up to have a blast again this year for the Fourth of July, and Bay View Resort is ready to put you in the middle of all the festivities. With the adjoining Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade serving as the hub of activities for Independence Day, Bay View guests are only a short stroll away from loads of fun on the Fourth.

Located on the beautiful Myrtle Beach oceanfront in the heart of the downtown district, Bay View provides a relaxing oasis in the center of the action. Spend your days enjoying first-class amenities, like our oceanfront tanning deck and indoor/outdoor pool deck, while being only steps away from all the fireworks, live music, fun and games the Boardwalk has to offer at night.

The Boardwalk features something for the whole family, especially on the Fourth, which kicks off with the Kids Carnival from 6 to 9 p.m. Presented by partner group Brittain Resorts, the Kids Carnival allows the little ones to burn off some energy on inflatable slides and bounce houses. Face-painters, stilt-walkers and other entertainers set the tone for the main event. Live music will take to the stage as an all-girl group known as The Change delivers pop music and a positive message to kids.

Beginning at 10 p.m., the action takes to the skies over the Atlantic Ocean for a free pyrotechnics display in the downtown district. Join fellow spectators in singing patriotic songs along to the music while the rockets’ red glare fills the sky, or find a nice spot on the beach at Bay View and watch the fireworks light up the heavens with a spectrum of colorful blasts. Although the Boardwalk hosts fireworks every Wednesday night (except July 6), the Fourth is the biggest display of the year.

While the Boardwalk may be the best place to be for the Fourth, there are other celebrations scheduled around town. Fireworks shows are also being held at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, Barefoot Landing and Cherry Grove Pier in North Myrtle Beach, Surfside Pier in Surfside Beach, and at the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk following the annual Fourth of July Boat Parade. Visitors looking to celebrate the occasion with a good workout can take part in the Independence Day 8K at Market Common.

Perhaps the best part about vacationing in Myrtle Beach for the Fourth is that the Independence Day fun is not limited to just one day. In fact, the Boardwalk hosts festivities four nights a week during the Hot Summer Nights Series. Rock-n-Rumble Wednesdays, the usual night for fireworks, will feature live music on the Plyler Park Stage on Ninth Avenue North beginning at 7 p.m., including a visit from Broadway Elvis himself. There will be no fireworks show on Wednesday night.

The Friday Night Seaside Concert Series, which features top local and regional bands playing free concerts, plays the same stage from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday. The Sunday Celebration Concert Series brings contemporary Christian musical acts to the stage to perform inspirational shows. Broadway Elvis, costumed superheroes and more add to the excitement with surprise appearances. All of the Hot Summer Nights events are free and open to the public, and the surrounding cafes and bars are jumping with activity.

Bay View Resort offers you a front-row seat to all the action on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, as well as a relaxing place to get away from it all just a short distance away. Guests can walk down the Boardwalk, Boulevard or beach to all the Fourth of July festivities while also enjoying their stay at a world-class resort. We look forward to helping you have a happy Fourth of July and a memorable vacation experience.
