Make sure Broadway at the Beach is Part of Your Plan When Visiting Myrtle Beach.

Myrtle Beach's best dining, shopping, entertainment, nightlife - you name it, Broadway at the Beach has it. Since the 350-acre multi-purpose complex opened between Bob Grissom Parkway and Highway 17 Bypass in 1995, Broadway at the Beach has been offering something to keep everyone in the family happy and entertained.

Broadway at the Beach is filled with some of Myrtle Beach's top attractions, including Ripley's Aquarium, an 85,000 square foot facility featuring fish and exotic sea life from all the world's oceans, and WonderWorks, which offers a wide range of family activities under one floor (the three-story building is upside down).

Thrill-seekers can find plenty of activities to get the adrenaline flowing, such as Backstage Mirror Maze, Beach Rider Jet Boats, Boardwalk Arcade, Carousel Park, Helicopter Adventure, Magiquest, Myrtle Waves Water Park,NASCAR Speedpark, the Pavilion Nostalgia Park and Soar & Explore.

Families looking for some more low-key fun can visit Bodies Revealed, Dragon's Lair Mini-Golf and the Broadway 16 Theater, or check out live shows at the Palace Theatre and Legends In Concert. For a night out at the ol' ballpark, the Myrtle Beach Pelicans play minor league baseball just across the street.

But the most popular activity at Broadway at the Beach is shopping. Featuring designated villages modeled after coastal New England, the Caribbean, the Charleston Boardwalk and Heroes Harbor, dozens of unique shops and boutiques offering everything from clothing, accessories, souvenirs, gifts, specialty stores and so much more.

Of course, all that fun and shopping can build up an appetite, and Broadway at the Beach features more than 20 great restaurants - from Italian (Amici's Bistro and Capriz) to Caribbean (Key West Grill and Wet Willie's), and from Japanese (King Kong Sushi and Yamato's) to Mexican (Baja Bistro, Carlos'N Charlies and Senor Frogs).

True, to its Myrtle Beach roots, Broadway at the Beach specializes in seafood and American cuisine. Joe's Crab Shack, Landry's and Shucker's Raw Bar are great places for fresh catches, while Good Time Charley's, Johnny Rocket's serve up excellent burgers, sandwiches and steaks.

For those looking for a unique atmosphere with their meals, theme restaurants like Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood and Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville are popular hot spots, while those looking for a cold drink can chill out at Broadway Louie's, Liberty's Steakhouse & Brewery and the Tilted Kilt Pub.

For the best in nightlife, step out to Celebrity Square and its more than one dozen night clubs. Boogie down at Celebrations, Club Boca, Froggy Bottomz, Revolutions and Rodeo. Bars like Fat Tuesday's, Sharkey's, Stool Pigeon's and Wet Willie's are more laid-back watering holes, while Crocodile Rock's has hilarious live-music shows.

Music also takes center stage during the summer months at Broadway at the Beach with the Summer Concert Series, with live bands and fireworks shows every Tuesday at 10 p.m.

Parking is plentiful and free except on busy fireworks night or other special events held at Broadway at the Beach. For more information about dates and times, call 843-444-3200 or visit www.broadwayatthebeach.com.
