Pool Resurfacing & Fresh Pavers Coming to Pool Deck at Bay View Resort on the Boardwalk
Winter in Myrtle Beach is a perfect time to rejuvenate—both for visitors to the beach and for our iconic resorts. You come to the beach to watch the waves roll in and refresh your soul, and we take some time to refresh the amazing accommodations that make visits to the beach so special.
This winter, Bay View at the Boardwalk will be refreshing our pool area. From January 6-13, we’ll be resurfacing the pool and hot tub so that they’ll be smoother and more comfortable for our guests in the coming year. “They take the water out, they do an acid wash, make sure they’re completely clean, then they resurface and smooth it down.” The lazy river and kiddie pool will remain open during the renovation.
We will also be updating the pavers in the pool area, so you can expect an updated look when you visit next spring and summer.
“It’ll be much more visually appealing,” said Steve Showers of Bay View Resort. “In the short term, it may be a little bit louder as they’re getting the work done, there will be some noise and a little dust, but in the long run it’ll be even nicer.”
Of course, there will be plenty to do while you’re here, even if you come during the week that your favorite pool is closed for resurfacing. When you arrive before Feb. 28, you’ll receive the Sun & Fun Bonus for free, which includes free, unlimited in-room DVD rentals, one free ticket to the SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, one free ticket to the Carolina Opry’s laser light show, one admission to Brookgreen Gardens daily, one free Super Pack Ticket Package at Fun Warehouse every day of your stay, and one free unlimited pass of mini golf. All that, and when you stay at Bay View Resort, you’re also located right on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.
