Top Four Things to Do When Visiting Bay View in the Winter
You may think of Myrtle Beach as a summertime destination, but the fact is, there’s tons to do in Myrtle Beach year-round, especially when you stay at Bay View on the Boardwalk!
Here’s a short list of our top five things to do when you visit Myrtle Beach and Bay View in winter:
1. Enjoy long walks on the boardwalk (without the crowds)
If you’ve ever visited Myrtle Beach in the summer and been daunted by crowds, you’ve got to come in the off-season. Your favorite boardwalk shops are still open, and you won’t have to elbow people aside for enough room to walk and take in the sights. Enjoy the sea breeze and the gorgeous views—and especially enjoy the typically dry and mild weather here in South Carolina!
2. Enjoy the pool
Here at Bay View, our indoor water amenities never close. So even on the coolest winter days, you can enjoy a leisurely swim, perfect for relaxing or even for a little exercise! And on nice days, we open up the sliding doors to let the fresh ocean breezes in. So don’t forget your suit!
3. Go shopping!
Myrtle Beach is well-known for its great shopping, from the outlet malls on Hwy. 17 and Hwy 501 to Coastal Grand Mall, Broadway at the Beach and The Market Common. So plan on checking off a few items on your Christmas list if you’re here before the holidays, and if you’re here after, focus on picking up some goodies for yourself!
4. Dine out
Longtime visitors to Myrtle Beach probably remember a time when many restaurants would close up shop as soon as Labor Day past—those days are long gone. Now, Myrtle Beach is a year-round destination with year-round entertainment and year-round dining options. There are literally thousands of restaurants on the grand strand, so plan on sampling as many as you can while you’re here, from the upscale white-tablecloth to our down-home BBQ and soul food restaurants!
5. Get free tickets to area attractions
This is our favorite thing to do: Enjoy your favorite Myrtle Beach attractions for free! Thanks to the Sun & Fun bonus, visitors to Bay View on the Boardwalk can take a flight on the Skywheel, visit Brookgreen Gardens, the Fun Warehouse and even area minigolf courses, all for free!
