Uncle John’s Family Restaurant and the Yella Umbrella

They offer all of your morning favorites from breakfast platters, omelets, pancakes, biscuits, waffles and that steaming cup of coffee that you can’t wait to sip. Children and senior plates are offered too. And in case you are a late riser, no problem…Uncle John’s serves breakfast all day from 6am to 2pm.

Whatever you are craving, you will find it here, whether it is breakfast or their incredible lunches, featuring all of your favorite American classics like grilled burgers, sandwiches, Reuben’s, wraps, salads, fresh fruit plates, and their most popular lunch item, the Fried Chicken Deluxe Sandwich!

What makes it even better is how reasonable the prices are. Breakfast ranges from $3.29 to $7.49 (plus beverage, tax and gratuity) and lunch prices range from $4.99 to $7.99 (plus beverage, tax and gratuity).

Lunch is served from 11am to 2pm, and don’t forget to ask about their daily lunch specials!

Dining with a group of 20 or more guests? Be sure to inquire about group discounts for large parties, too.

While sunning by the pool, grab some lunch at the Yella Umbrella snack bar. Located in the South Building, the Yella Umbrella offers a light lunch menu, snacks and refreshing beverages daily. Unwind by the pool and enjoy a frozen margarita or pina colada while soaking in the warm sun. Fuel up with a light lunch menu consisting of burgers, hot dogs/chili-cheese dogs, nachos with cheese, salads, chips, fries and ice cream, while relaxing at a table on the lawn overlooking the Atlantic. They also have daily lunch and drink specials in season.

For the adults, a variety of alcohol is served including beer, wine, mixed and frozen drinks and the always-popular, Caribbean Rum punch bucket. For the kids, the Virgin daiquiris are a crowd-pleaser.

Room charges are welcome; so no need to worry about lugging cash around in your beach bag.

The Yella Umbrella is open seasonably from 11pm until 6pm, usually from mid-March through mid-October. Currently, it is undergoing a major renovation to expand and make room for bar seating and a new patio area with additional seating and service window. It is scheduled to re-open in March, just in time for the arrival of spring in Myrtle Beach!
