05/19/2008

Weekly Day Camps Designed for All Junior Golfers, 12 to 17 Years of Age

May 19, 2008, North Myrtle Beach, S.C. – The Champions Golf Academy announced today that 2008 summer golf camps for all junior golfers, both boys and girls, from 12 to 17 years of age are open for registration. Located at the Long Bay Club, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., the weekly camps begin on Monday, June 9 and run through the month of August. Junior golfers receive instruction from 9:00 a.m. until noon each day, followed by lunch and afternoon play with a Champions Golf Academy instructor. Students will be grouped according to age and ability and the game-improvement camp will focus on fundamentals, full swing, short game skills, course management, club selection and tournament preparation in a fun, yet competitive, environment.

Tuition for the week-long Champions Golf Academy Summer Golf Camp is $750 per golfer, with discounts given to those participating in the program for more than three weeks. To learn more information or register, parents are encouraged to call (843) 399-1551 or visit the academy’s website, ChampionsGolfAcademylbc.com.

“We’re excited to launch our first summer golf program for junior golfers,” said Academy owner and former PGA TOUR player, Hugh Royer, III. “These weekly camps are designed specifically for junior golfers, whether they live in Myrtle Beach or are vacationing in the area. Parents can drop off their up-and-coming young golfers with us before work, and pick them up in the afternoon. For those who live outside the Myrtle Beach region, the family can enjoy one of America’s best golf and vacation destinations while the junior golfer is immersed in an extensive golf instruction program. Whether the junior golfer aspires to play high school, collegiate or professional golf, the Champions Golf Academy Summer Golf Camp is the answer. My handpicked instructional team’s simple and proven approach, utilizing the most advanced training tools available, at an exceptional world-class facility will provide players with every opportunity to succeed.”
