Myrtle Beach Prime Time Courses to Host Patriot Golf Day

09/02/2009

September 3, 2009, Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Myrtle Beach National Company officials announced today that the Myrtle Beach Prime Time courses will participate in Patriot Golf Day, the national golf fundraiser to be held over the Labor Day weekend. All golfers who contribute to the Patriot Golf Day campaign by booking tee times at any of the participating Myrtle Beach National courses will also receive special discounts on apparel and selected golf balls in the respective pro shops.

From Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7, golfers across the United States will be asked to donate a minimum of $1 in support of Patriot Golf Day, with all proceeds benefitting the Folds of Honor Foundation, an organization that provides scholarship opportunities to the families of soldiers who have been injured or killed in the line of military duty. In 2008, 3,800 golf facilities nationwide participated in Patriot Golf Day, raising more than $2 million.

“When we learned about this great benefit, it wasn’t a question of whether or not we would participate, but how much could we do to help,” said Jim Woodring, vice president of golf operations, Myrtle Beach National Company. We hope that the money raised at our 11 Myrtle Beach Prime Time golf courses, and across the United States, will positively impact families of servicemen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom.”

To schedule a tee time at a Myrtle Beach Prime Time course, which include such notable courses like Kings North, Long Bay Club, Blackmoor and Wachesaw East Plantation, or for more information, visit MBN.com or PatriotGolfDay.com.
