2nd Ave Pier is a Grand Strand landmark that's here to stay.  Established in 1936, it has been helping families create memories that last for years.  From the early days of people catching huge fish off the Pier.  To today, where families come to enjoy their days together.  With the fishing, food & fun you will get to enjoy one of Myrtle Beach's original destinations.  

The Pier House Restaurant serves an oceanfront breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.  The openness of the restaurant and huge floor to ceiling windows allows for perfect views of the Atlantic Ocean.  The décor is modern and with a beach flare.  Some of the popular dishes severed are the Sunset Shrimp Stack made with fried green tomatoes layered with shrimp Creole salad; The Line Salad which is fresh spinach with egg, tomatoes, pickled onion and bacon, then there is the Seafood Pasta which is sautéed shrimp, clams and mussels with tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms tossed with a roast garlic broth and pasta.  Finally to dessert, Strawberry Shortcake, with layers of fresh strawberries and whipped cream, sandwiched between freshly baked biscuits. They also offer an extensive wine list to be enjoyed with any meal.

Are you ready to hit the boardwalk?  Stop by the store first to pick up some fishing equipment or a crab trap.  Maybe you just want to grab a special souvenir or t-shirt, don’t worry; they have it all right there for you.  Now it is time to head out on the 904 ft pier to spend the day or an hour. Here you can fish, stroll, grab an Italian ice or take in the breathtaking views of the beachfront. The pier is beautiful and offers something for everyone. Don’t forget your camera because the views are amazing.

Venture up to the third floor for the best view on the beach. The Pier View Open Air Bar. You can see virtually from all sides.  While the bar is in the center, there are many tables and chairs as well as comfortable lounges for you to sit and relax while you enjoy your favorite adult beverage. Some of the popular drinks are the Orange Frozen Peaches and Mango by the Sea, Miami Vice that is half strawberry Daiquiri and half Pina Colada and the famous Run Punch.  They also serve several different appetizers such as the mini sliders and bacon wrapped shrimp. Entertainment is nightly and on certain nights, it is the best view in town, especially when the fireworks are going off at the end of the pier. This is a great spot for socializing, grabbing a cocktail, or enjoying its light fare all with a panoramic ocean view.
