Beach Overview with Pier

If you are heading to Myrtle Beach on your next vacation, you won’t want to miss these photo opportunities, check them out.

As a guest at Bay View Resort at the Boardwalk, the location couldn’t be any better.  Right in the heart of Myrtle Beach and right on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk with an expansive view of the blue Atlantic Ocean.  We wanted to share with you some of the hot spots for you to take your Instagram worthy pics!  Of course the balcony of your oceanfront room is the prime location for the sunrise, sunset, well just all day, we wanted to let you venture out and enjoy some of the amazing sites that locals get to enjoy daily.  Check them out:

Myrtle Beach SkyWheel — Just north on the boardwalk from Bay View Resort, you can take in sweeping views of downtown Myrtle Beach from new heights with a visit to the 187-foot-tall Myrtle Beach SkyWheel, an iconic Grand Strand landmark. When you ride in one of the Ferris wheel’s 42 glass-enclosed, air-conditioned gondolas, you’ll catch a bird’s-eye view of the Atlantic Ocean, the coastline, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and downtown Myrtle Beach. You’ll be treated to about 10 minutes of Myrtle Beach’s beauty from high above during your private ride’s three revolutions.

The 2nd Avenue Pier — Located at the southern end of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and just a few steps away from Bay View Resorts, is the 2nd Avenue Pier offers a restaurant, an open-air bar, fishing opportunities — and some million-dollar views from above the Atlantic Ocean’s crashing waves. Bonus viewpoint: The Cherry Grove Fishing Pier in North Myrtle Beach stretches nearly 1,000 feet into the Atlantic and offers some great scenery, too.

Tin Roof — Another location on the northern end of the boardwalk, boasting the worthy tagline “A Live Music Joint,” this relatively new Myrtle Beach entertainment venue is bringing live music and DJs to its separate stages nightly. And when members of the party crowd want to take a break from the music to grab some fresh air, Atlantic Ocean views and sea breezes, they can head to the third-floor venue’s open-air patio. The Intracoastal Waterway from Barefoot Landing — North Myrtle Beach shopping/dining/entertainment complex Barefoot Landing features a 27-acre lake over which fireworks shows are staged on Monday nights throughout the summer. But those might not be the most picturesque sights visitors can catch on-site. That’s because the complex’s Dockside Village features a stretch of restaurants and shops set along the Intracoastal Waterway, where nightly sunsets over the calm waters are a definite draw.

The Murrells Inlet MarshWalk: Found on the Grand Strand’s southern end in the historic fishing village of Murrells Inlet, the MarshWalk offers breathtaking views of a natural saltwater estuary from its half-mile wooden boardwalk overlooking a picturesque salt marsh. And with its numerous waterfront restaurants and bars, it’s a great spot to catch a sunset over a delicious meal — and, of course, a side of amazing Grand Strand views.

We can’t wait for you to share your amazing pics and stories with us.  See you soon, Bay View Resort.
