Talk about the ultimate family vacation: LeAnne Croft Lawson and three generations of her family recently spent a week at the Bay View Resort in Myrtle Beach.
And like most family vacations, all ages had a great time, but the most fun was had by the youngest, 4-year-old son Tyler.
“We all love staying at Bay View, but my son is crazy about it,” said Croft Lawson, whose family visited from Lewisville, TN. “He wears his floaty so he can jump in the ‘big people’ pool too, but he love playing on the giant mushroom on the Splash Pad area. And he loves getting in the hot tub, or as he calls it, the hot pool.”
Croft Lawson and her husband, parents and an aunt took turns trying to keep up with Tyler as he bounced from the beach to the pool area to the aquatic playground. That gave the grownups plenty of “me time” to unwind and relax at the Bay View, or to venture off property and visit with other family members who live in the Grand Strand area.
But with so many family-friendly activities and fun things to do on the Bay View property, they really didn’t need to venture too far from their new vacation home away from home. The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and other area attractions are only a short walking distance away.
“We went to Broadway at the Beach and some other places, but everything we needed was close by,” she said. “We always stay in the four-bedroom so we can have her own rooms because Tyler wakes up before everybody and he’s ready to go.”
The family is already planning to return to Bay View next year to make some more memories, and Tyler is counting down the days. When he heard his mother was on the phone with someone from the hotel, his first reaction was, “Are we going back?!”
