Bay View Resort is located on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, with the fresh ocean breezes, relaxing sunset evenings and in the heart of the Grand Strand.
You may already know that the Grand Strand is known for its fresh-caught seafood, and there are few better places to find it along our 60-mile stretch of Atlantic Ocean coastline than in the quaint, shrimping- and fishing-focused town of Little River, SC. Located about 30 minutes north of downtown Myrtle Beach (and just south of the North Carolina state line), this scenic and laid-back town is a great destination any time of year — especially for visitors looking to dine on the fruits of the sea.
But for those in the area in mid-October, an especially unique treat awaits in Little River — the annual ShrimpFest celebration. Marking its 14th year and set for Oct. 13-14 in 2018, the Little River ShrimpFest attracts approximately 25,00 visitors to the Little River waterfront each year for fresh local seafood from area restaurants, vendors serving an array of festival foods, two stages of live music, and roughly 150 different vendor booths (including arts & crafts vendors, community organizations and local businesses). For the younger set, kid-geared activities and attractions include face painting, stilt walkers and balloon artists, all set up in a special children’s area at the festival.
Participating restaurants located within the street festival’s grounds include:
Buzz’s Roost
Capt. Juel’s Hurricane Restaurant
Crab Catchers
Key West Crazy
Patio’s Tiki Bar & Grill
The Pilot House
