Consider these shopping opportunities found in the Myrtle Beach area:
Big Box Stores: Often, the biggest blockbuster Black Friday deals are found at the biggest stores. And on the Grand Strand, all the top names — including Wal-Mart (10+ area stores), Target (two area stores), Best Buy, Costco, Sam’s Club and more — can be found within easy driving distance of downtown Myrtle Beach. To really throw some fun into the mix, head for the area in Myrtle Beach between Broadway at the Beach and Coastal Grand Mall. Here, all of the stores mentioned above can be found within a short distance of each other, and the added entertainment and attractions of Broadway at the Beach and Coastal Grand Mall are also nearby.
Outlets/Malls: For those who enjoy outlet and/or mall shopping, the Grand Strand provides numerous options in this department, too. One of the area’s top retail destinations — Tanger Outlets — offers a pair of sprawling locations in the Myrtle Beach area, each featuring 75-plus stores. Find a long list of giant national retail names — as well as an array of mom-and-pop boutique shops — at the Highway 501 outlet center and the Highway 17 outlet center. Elsewhere, Myrtle Beach’s Coastal Grand Mall is the second-largest shopping mall in the entire state of South Carolina. Among the 170-plus specialty stores found here are an array of prominent national retailers such as Sears, Dillard’s, Belk, JCPenney, Dick’s Sporting Goods, H&M and Old Navy. A range of smaller specialty shops offers men’s and women’s fashions, shoes, books, electronics and more, and the food court boasts a large selection of dining options.
Small Businesses: For the most unique and even one-of-a-kind gifts, small businesses are often the shopper’s best bet. And thanks to Small Business Saturday — held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving annually — these shops get their own day, too. Good destinations for shopping mom-and-pop shops on the Grand Strand include Broadway at the Beach and The Market Common in Myrtle Beach, Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, and The Hammock Shops Village in Pawleys Island.
