You Don't Have to Travel Far for a Delicious Sandwich on the Grand Strand

1. DAGWOOD’S DELI | The Dagwood’s Dipper

- Shaved ribeye
- Onions
- Bell peppers
- Mushrooms
- Melted provolone or American
ADVICE: In Philadelphia, you’d say “wit” or “witout” when ordering, for onions. Carolyn Wyman, author of “The Great Philly Cheesesteak Book,” says to cut your sandwich in half, and bring it outside to eat in the open air.
3. BAGEL FACTORY | Reuben Sandwich
How about a lunch invitation to a restaurant known for its breakfast? The Bagel Factory serves up amazing bagels, but the way they put together a Reuben is pure art. This messy masterpiece contains these ingredients on rye:

You’d swipe right on any of Manny’s subs, but the Godfather is THE one. You might miss this quaint sub shop if you zip by too fast on South Kings Highway. But anyone who’s eaten here knows the place to go for fresh bread and generous portions. On a fresh sub roll, you’ll get:
- Cappicola ham
- Genoa salami
- Pepperoni
- Provolone cheese
- Lettuce
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- Oil
- Vinegar
- Italian dressing
ADVICE: Order the 12-inch (they come in 6- and 8-inch portions, too.) If you can’t finish it in one sitting, it’ll make a delicious snack. Take your time!
